Multi Bike Insurance FAQS
What types of vehicles can be covered?
We can cover most ages and types of scooters and motorcycles. We specialise in providing cover for: scooters, 125s, customs, commuters, sports and trials, A2 licence, adventure bikes.
Can I include modern and vintage bikes on the same policy?
Yes, with our exclusive multi-bike scheme we can insure classic and modern scooters and motorbikes all on the same policy. Our standard multi-bike policy can insure eight bikes up to the combined value of £30,000, however, we can look at collections of higher value on an individual basis.
How much does multi-bike insurance cost?
The cost of your insurance will depend on a range of different factors, such as the type of bikes you own, the age of the bikes and the age of the rider, to name a few. Lexham is committed to providing competitive insurance policies on a wide range of different two-wheeled vehicles.
Can I carry passengers?
You'll be asked if you require pillion use as part of the quotation. This can be included provided you have the right licence entitlement.
Can I ride abroad?
Each Insurer will have their own terms and conditions but most offer 90 days annually with a maximum of 30 days at any one time. Be sure to check your policy or ask your insurers before your trip.
Does motorcycle insurance cover bike modifications?
If your bike(s) have been modified, you will need to let us know what these modifications are during the quotation process, as well as notifying us of any changes made throughout your 12-month policy with us.
At Lexham, we seek to find the best deal for you, and many common modifications are likely to be covered. However, we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to offer insurance. If you are unsure, please contact us for more information. Please be aware, however, that bike modifications are likely to increase your premium.
Can I ride someone else's bike using my insurance policy?
Some Insurers will offer this extension but check your wording carefully or with ourselves as if it is provided there are usually terms and conditions like restrictions on the capacity. The cover is normally only Third-party Only, regardless of your cover, and the vehicle must always have insurance in the owner's name.
